Peak Install started in 2020 now based out of Epping, in Melbourne's north. The premise was narrow on purpose: do installation, do nothing else, and be the crew that signage companies could hand a difficult job to without worrying about it.
Our installers had over a hundred years in the industry between them before Peak existed, and that experience is the whole product. Knowing how a facade is built before you drill into it, what a centre's after-hours access actually involves, and which councils will knock back an illuminated projecting sign — that takes years, and it's the difference between an install that runs smoothly and one that goes sideways at 4pm on a Friday.
Six years on we've installed for more than 500 brands, from single-site cafés to national retail rollouts. We've turned up with a crane and we've turned up with a squeegee. The standard doesn't change with the size of the job.
Installation is our only business, not one stage of a bigger one.
When install sits inside a business that also designs and fabricates, it's the stage that absorbs the delay when something upstream runs late — handled by whoever is available that week rather than a dedicated crew.
Here it's the whole business. Our people don't get pulled off a job to help in the workshop. We invest in access equipment and height safety instead of printers and CNC routers. And because we don't manufacture, we're not quietly competing with the signage companies who hire us — your client stays your client, we're just the dedicated installation crew you didn't have to hire full-time.
It also means our advice is unbiased. When we say a sign is worth repairing rather than replacing, we have nothing to gain either way.
The paperwork, done properly
Signage work sits across building, electrical and height safety regulation. Getting it wrong is a builder's problem, a landlord's problem and eventually an insurer's problem. Here's what we hold.
Registered Building Practitioner
Registered with the Victorian Building Authority, trading as the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC). Required for structural signage work, and the reason we can take on jobs that need engineered footings and building permits.
Energy Safe Victoria Accredited
We connect and certify illuminated signage ourselves. No separate electrician, no gap between install day and switch-on.
WPCG Certified
Our crew member holds current WPCG tickets, so we can work on live fuel sites where most signage installers can't.
Fully Insured
$20m public liability and workers compensation cover, current certificates of currency sent with every quote.
Height Safety and Plant
EWP, working at heights, rigging and traffic management tickets across the crew. We run our own crane truck and a fleet of 15 vehicles, from EWPs down to 2-tonne trucks, vans and utes, so equipment is never something we're waiting on a hire company for.
How We Work
Safety is not negotiable
We stop work in high wind, isolate before we touch anything live, and have walked off sites where the access wasn't safe, rebooking at our own cost rather than cutting corners.
Clear communication throughout
Confirmation the day before, a call if anything changes, and photos once the job is complete — proactive updates rather than the silence contractors are often known for.
We finish what we start
No jobs left waiting on a part that never got ordered. If something's not right, we return and resolve it promptly, without dispute over fault.
We leave the site as we found it
Packaging gone, offcuts gone, floor swept, old signage disposed of — a small detail, but one that matters to everyone who uses the space afterwards.
