Pylon sign installation using a crane truck in Victoria

About This Service

Most of the engineering in a pylon sign is invisible, it's underground. A pylon carries real height and real wind loading, and if the footing isn't designed for the specific sign and site, that's not a cosmetic problem, it's a structural one. Getting the footing right is what everything else on the sign depends on.

Peak Install installs engineered footings sized to the sign's height, weight and wind exposure, then installs the pylon using our own crane truck rather than a hired-in subcontractor. That covers council permit assistance where the sign needs one, LED lighting integration where the brief calls for an illuminated pylon, and weather-resistant materials suited to standing outdoors, unprotected, for years.

Because the crane truck is ours, it's not booked around another company's job list. The same truck is available for 24/7 emergency callouts, a pylon damaged in a storm or struck by a vehicle needs a crane on site fast, not whenever a hired one is next free.

How Peak Install Can Help

A pylon footing is sized to the site, not to a standard template, soil conditions, sign height and wind exposure all change what's actually required below ground. We work to an engineer's specification for the footing, or coordinate that engineering where it's needed, before anything goes in the ground.

Installation itself is a crane lift, positioning a large structure precisely and safely, on a live site that's often still trading around us. Owning the crane truck outright means we control that schedule directly, rather than working around when a hired crane happens to be available.

That same ownership is what makes the emergency side genuinely real rather than a standard line. If a pylon's been hit or storm-damaged, we can get our crane truck on site without waiting on a hire booking, day or night.
